The South Russell Village Planning Commission tabled PC case 25-15 — an application to open a pelvic health occupational therapy clinic at 200 Industrial Parkway, Unit 4E — after commissioners said the submission lacked standard site and parking documentation.
Applicant Alexa Geyer told commissioners she plans a single-therapist, cash-based clinic with one patient at a time, with short gaps between appointments. Commissioners and staff repeatedly pressed for a formal building plan, a site plan showing parking and access, and clarification of property lines and striping for parking stalls. The owner, Ed Gottschalk, was referenced as the property owner expected to provide a parking plan.
Several commissioners said the planning commission’s usual practice is to receive a building layout and a site plan showing access and parking before final approval; one commissioner recommended tabling the matter until the materials were provided. The commission moved, seconded and voted to table the application until the Dec. 11 meeting and to accept documentation from the owner before re-consideration; commissioners specified that parking plans must be acceptable to the building commissioner.
The applicant was advised to provide photographs, a drawing showing the unit location, and signage samples if applicable. Commissioners also noted a broader concern that some businesses had opened without completing planning review and asked staff to coordinate with the fire prevention officer to confirm compliance across affected properties.
