Tracy Humphreys and Anthony (SSC) said SSC’s work-order completion rate is 99.32% and that the team completed more than 6,004 preventive-maintenance work orders this year. They reported more than 11,000 total work orders submitted districtwide and an average turnaround time of seven days from assignment to completion. SSC’s customer service score was presented as 4.5 out of 5.
The presentation emphasized in-house work to save district funds and called out specific projects: an irrigation line at Servat for a possible FFA project, an emergency water-line repair at Manzanita that required new shutoff valves and a pressure-regulating valve (PRV), HVAC repairs and refrigerant work, new flooring installations at Wallopi and Lee Williams, and gym-area refurbishments at Mount Tipton. SSC said preventive-maintenance planning helps avoid emergency costs by tracking asset life cycles.
SSC also described custodial summer-cleaning checklists used across campuses and grounds work such as aeration and overseeding; staff noted small, cost-effective beautification efforts (for example, a paw-print design at Black Mountain) that improve campus appearance. Trustees asked clarifying questions about SFB (state-funded) projects and technical terms; SSC defined PRV as pressure-regulator valve and PM/CM as preventive maintenance versus corrective maintenance.
The board expressed appreciation for SSC’s work and encouraged continued planning for lifecycle replacements and state-funding applications for larger projects.
