The presentation showed that a substantial share of students fall into an "approaching" or "bubble" category — the cohort the district is targeting to move to proficiency. District staff said moving those students will be accomplished by aligning grade-level standards, increasing classroom rigor and using coordinated data analysis to identify students who can be accelerated with modest, targeted supports.
