City staff described a highlighted parcel adjacent to a proposed minor subdivision near 300 South and 100 East, behind the elementary school, that is currently held by the county. Staff said the county has "held it so that nobody would build anything in that easement" and that the county commissioner has already approved the general transfer. The city attorney will prepare a resolution once the property is deeded to the city.
Staff presented the information as an update rather than an action item; council was asked to take no vote in the meeting until formal deed transfer paperwork and a staff-prepared resolution are presented. Staff told council they would return with a deed and proposed resolution for final council approval when title is transferred.
