Fiona Jensen, a county planner, told the commission staff had met with the applicant in mid‑October and requested additional information after a revised scope was submitted the day before the meeting. Jensen recommended continuing the item to allow staff time to prepare a resolution that matches the clarified scope. Joel Panzer, representing the applicant, withdrew an earlier request for a specific date and said the applicant preferred a possible December hearing but understood staff might need until January.
Commissioner Diehl moved to continue the item and Commissioner Gomez seconded the motion. The commission voted in favor.
The continuance is procedural: staff said the matter concerns changing map boundaries on a final map and that any future hearing will include a translation of specialized Santa Lucia Preserve zoning terms so commissioners and the public can understand what the map change allows. No substantive land‑use approvals or project construction actions were taken at the Oct. 29 hearing.
Staff said it would publish the clarified scope and the draft resolution when available so interested parties can review it before the item returns to a future hearing.
