Cameron Duff and Kenny Custis told the board the county had long offered pension coverage to employees scheduled at least 20 hours per week but the practice was not written in policy. "Employees who work or are scheduled at least 20 hours a week must participate in the pension plan," Duff said, and staff said Wyoming Retirement System requested the county formalize that language and update a 2007 agreement.
Commissioners voted to adopt the personnel-policy language and to authorize the chairman to sign the updated agreement with the Wyoming Retirement System. Both items passed by voice vote; the transcript does not show a roll-call tally.
Staff said the updated agreement will align county documentation with existing practice and remove ambiguity about eligibility; staff will file the signed agreement with county records.
