Planning staff updated the Sheridan County Board of Commissioners on several pending land-use matters and asked commissioners to review a city transportation plan that affects county areas.
"I have a additional use permit to for an RV campaign, had a total of the story. Received an application for a cell tower on Cold Creek Road," said Mark (staff), noting the tower would likely serve the Newcross area. He also reported a preliminary plat for seven 2‑acre lots on U.S. 87 and said staff had received an application related to an RV campground.
Mark said Ramco has "a life reserve in it for a research and bio facility on the East Side," and that the use appears to be permitted; he asked commissioners to direct any questions to the planning office. He added that White Aquarium had considered, then dropped, a quarry permit application and that the city transportation plan is online for public comment.
The county was asked to review the transportation plan and forward any formal comments so they are part of the record. Mark said the planning commission has items on next week’s agenda that may generate public comment and that some items may be forwarded to the commissioners.
Commissioners did not take formal action on any of these items at the meeting; staff said it will circulate materials and accept questions from commissioners.
