Staff recommended using Davis Elementary's planned parking-lot replacement (estimated cost roughly $400,000) for the grant application. The project meets the program's minimum project-size requirement and can be completed within the grant timeline, staff said. The committee authorized staff to complete and submit the state grant application and moved the authorization to the consent agenda for the board to ratify.
Staff noted the grant provides supplemental, matched funding and does not by itself cover total project costs; project budgeting remains the district's responsibility.
