DeKalb's PECS committee approved a one-year lease-extension amendment to the county's standard rental agreement for WorkSource at 774 Jordan Lane. Staff said the amendment extends the lease through Dec. 31, 2026, increases the 2026 rental rate to $515,954.25 and adds an estimated $68,000 in utilities, bringing the estimated 2026 total to about $583,954.
A county operations presenter said staff are attempting to secure alternate locations but sought the extension to ensure WorkSource has a facility for the next year. There were no substantive questions from commissioners and the item passed by voice vote.
The committee approved the extension and moved the item forward to the business meeting.
