Hanford staff to present transit-oriented development findings to City Council next week

Planning staff told the Hanford City Planning Commission on Oct. 28 that the City Council will receive a presentation next week on proposed transit-oriented development planning related to high-speed rail.
The staff presentation will cover proposed land uses and the planning direction that staff and a consultant team have developed over the past several months. "If you're curious about the proposed planning out by high speed rail, the proposed land uses, sort of, planning direction that we're going to take out there, that'll be at the next city council meeting," planning staff said, inviting commissioners and interested members of the public to attend.
No formal action was taken by the commission on the matter at the Oct. 28 meeting; staff described the Council presentation as informational and part of ongoing planning and consultant work.
