The Village of Jackson Board of Public Works on Oct. 28 approved a final decrease change order and the remaining contractor pay requests for the 2024 wastewater treatment plant tertiary filters and UV disinfection project for JH Hassinger.
The board approved Change Order No. 2, a final adjustment that reduces the contract by $8,470.60, and approved pay request No. 18 for $28,036.59 and pay request No. 19, recorded as the project’s final pay request. Board members also recommended approval of Clean Water Fund loan reimbursement request No. 15 in the amount recorded in the meeting materials.
Director of Public Works Jack gave a preliminary accounting: “I have a preliminary report, not a final report, but it looks like we’re gonna come in somewhere between 150 and 200,000 under budget on this whole project.” He also said one more loan reimbursement is expected to arrive to finalize engineering costs as staff completes the O&M manual.
Motions for the change order and pay requests were made and seconded in open session; each motion carried on voice vote. The board’s actions were recommendations to the Budget Committee and Village Board where required; final loan reimbursements and formal accounting will be completed as closeout steps are finished.
