Allison Peck, news director for Eagle Media (North Platte Post and Sandhills Post), visited the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners on Oct. 27 to propose a monthly interview or short podcast segment with a board member to reach audiences not served by existing coverage.
Peck said Eagle Media runs agenda previews and meeting recaps on its websites and proposed recording an interview in-studio that could be embedded online and aired on radio. Commissioners expressed broad support for the idea but said they did not see a need for formal board action. Several commissioners emphasized flexibility to participate when available rather than committing the entire board to a standing schedule.
Commissioner Weems volunteered to appear the next morning for a radio segment; logistics were set for an 8:30 a.m. studio visit. No formal action was taken; staff said they will accommodate interview requests informally.
