Salem Housing Authority flags out‑of‑area voucher applicants, landlords raising rents after voucher awards

Yous said a recent waiting‑list pool of roughly 300 applicants included about 130 people from outside Marion and Polk counties or from other states; of 87 applicants currently in process, 14 are from out of state and 16 are from outside Marion and Polk counties, a combined 34 percent of that in‑process group.
