Scout Motors outlines $2 billion Blythewood production center, says 4,000 jobs expected

Scout Motors representatives updated the Town of Blythewood council on the company’s production center and related community plans, saying the project involves roughly $2 billion in factory investment and will create thousands of jobs in the region.

Poonam Patel, representing Scout Motors, described the site as a 1,600‑acre project with 1,100 acres under development and a production footprint that will include a 3,000,000‑square‑foot main campus and several large buildings for body, paint and assembly work. “This is a partnership between Scout Motors and the Town of Blythewood,” Patel said, and the company estimated the investment would bring “over 4,000 job opportunities to the region.”
