The Oregon City Planning Commission on Nov. 12 voted to continue the public hearing on the Clackamas Community College master plan (CP-71) to a date certain of Dec. 10, 2007, after the college requested additional time to work on transportation impacts and mitigation. The record will remain open while staff and the applicant complete that work.
Tony Conkel, planning staff, told the commission the college had requested a continuance to allow ongoing work on transportation mitigation and that staff would keep the record open during that period. The commission moved to continue the hearing; a subsequent roll-call vote recorded ayes from Commissioners Stein, Lejois, Dunne, Groener and Chairperson Paul (5-0).
The continuance preserves the city’s quasi-judicial process for land use hearings. Staff advised speakers that all written materials must be submitted and marked as exhibits before they are entered into the record and that any request to keep the record open or seek a continuance must be made before the hearing is closed.
