Maggie Collins, a planning staffer, presented a request from the Oregon City School District to rezone a portion of an 83‑acre site annexed into the city so the zoning matches the comprehensive plan designation.
"The request here is, from the Oregon City School District to, change the zone on a portion of their large 83 acre site so that it's consistent with the rest of the zoning on the property," Collins said.
Collins said the annexation had already occurred and the planning commission reviewed the request and recommended approval. Commissioners discussed timing around planning commission minutes and the city's 120‑day review clock before moving to approve first reading.
A minor amendment was added to the ordinance to state explicitly that the property described in Attachment B is rezoned from FU‑10 to CI on the official zoning map. The commission approved first reading of Ordinance 01‑1023 and instructed staff to proceed with the file attachments and findings as read into the record.
The ordinance language recorded at first reading identifies the parcel as Clackamas County assessor map 3S2EO9D, Tax Lot 1200. The motion incorporated the planning commission's findings and conclusions as Attachment A and the rezoning description in Attachment B.
