Permidium is required by ORS 295.098 to collateralize funds it holds on behalf of the county. The board rescinded a prior order (Order 2023070) that did not include animal-control licensing fees and adopted a new order that permits the contractor to use a surety bond as the alternate collateral method. The board recorded a surety bond amount of $30,000 to be held by the Klamath County treasurer; staff said the bond amount may be increased if monthly receipts exceed the collateral value.
