Atchison County approves IT renewals, extension council payout and KCAMP delegate
Summary

At the Oct. 28 Atchison County Commission meeting, finance staff presented and the board approved several purchase orders and routine agenda items.
Finance Director Mark Zeltner reported that an October distribution left a balance in a fund for the Extension Council; the county authorized a purchase order to pay the remaining $1,009.75 (per finance presentation) to complete the previously approved appropriation. The board approved the motion 3–0.
In IT matters related to this year's cyber incident, commissioners approved three contract renewals and annual support fees: an annual SentinelOne endpoint protection/monitoring contract with Crowe for $7,001.50, a Dell support and virtual-server renewal through ConvergeOne for $6,212.50, and a ConvergeOne SmartNet renewal covering switches, courthouse firewall, VPN and licensing for $6,009.40 (amounts as reported by the finance director). Staff said the purchases are budgeted in the IT department and that the county received an insurance payout that offset some costs.
The board also completed KCAMP/KAC appointment paperwork by naming Commissioner James Campbell as the voting delegate and Holly (appraiser) as alternate; commissioners voted 3–0 to approve the appointments and instructed staff to forward the signed form to the county clerk for submission.
