County adopts revised travel policy for employee travel and training

The Klamath County Board of Commissioners adopted a resolution on Oct. 28 amending the county Human Resources Policy and Procedure manual to include a revised county travel policy. County HR staff told the board the policy is intended to ensure employee travel and training expenses are properly authorized, cost‑effective, within budget and used to support professional development.
During the meeting staff said the policy change carries no direct fiscal impact. The board moved and adopted the resolution by voice vote.
