Klamath County reads Sergeants bargaining agreement into record; small fiscal increase noted

A county representative told the board the terms of the agreement were finalized and membership approved the contract before the current reading. The administrative motion to approve the contract was made Oct. 7, 2025.
The county described the fiscal impact for the 2025–26 fiscal year as an additional 1.5% cost-of-living increase on top of a 3% increase awarded July 1, 2025; staff characterized the added amount as approximately $17,099.24, plus incentive pay for eligible employees. The reading into the record was informational and the board moved on to the public-comment portion of the meeting.
