The Rhinebeck Town Board adopted a local law on Oct. 27 amending enforcement provisions in Chapter 125 of the Town of Rhinebeck Code and the town zoning law. The board voted by roll call and the adoption passed unanimously.
The town supervisor said the Douglas County Planning Board had returned the referral as "exempt" and offered no comments, clearing the way for adoption. Town counsel provided an Environmental Assessment Form Part 2 and recommended a negative declaration, and the board included that finding in the adoption resolution.
In roll call, Alan Shearer, John C. Walker, Chad Veitch, Dana Conley Peterson and Elizabeth Spinsio each voted "aye." The resolution and accompanying materials were placed on the record as the town moved to finalize adoption.
The local law was discussed at a public hearing earlier in the meeting; the board closed the hearing before taking the adoption vote. Town staff said there are no substantive land-use changes in the amendment and that the negative declaration reflects no anticipated environmental impact. The town clerk will incorporate the EAF Part 2 and adoption language into the final local-law filing.
