Student liaisons report busy fall calendar, testing schedule and athletics wins at Mount Olive High School

Yatoka Moliner, the board of education student liaison, and Veil Piappeli, student council president, delivered a student activity update that outlined recent events, ongoing academic supports and athletic achievements at Mount Olive High School.

She said the school is running application boot camps every Tuesday and Thursday to help seniors with college paperwork.
On extracurriculars, Moliner reported, "Our marching band placed first on October 4 at West Milford, and they increased their score by 4 points since their last competition." She noted athletic highlights including a gymnastics league championship (the fourth in school history), girls tennis finishing as division co‑champions with the most wins since 2010, and volleyball winning the division championship. She also said the football team made the playoffs and had a home game scheduled.
Moliner provided upcoming dates and publications: AP registration closes Nov. 7 ("we're anticipating over a thousand exams"), NJSLA and NJGPA field tests on Nov. 3, 5 and 10, the Marauder Messenger newspaper published on Nov. 10, a career fair on Nov. 12, Lehi League qualifying on Nov. 22 and state championships at the high school in December, the drama production Mean Girls Nov. 20–22, and the Snowland winter dance on Dec. 6.
