Local Heritage Foundation invites residents to contribute to 175th‑anniversary scrapbook

Pleasant View — During public comment on Oct. 28, Lynn Humphreys and Jerry Burns, representing the Heritage Foundation, asked residents to contribute photographs and personal stories to a 175th‑anniversary scrapbook project.
Humphreys said organizers plan a workshop on Nov. 8 in the basement (city facility) to assist residents who need help digitizing materials; volunteers will provide copying and scanning assistance. The group plans to publish a hard copy via Google Books and also accept digital submissions through a QR code linked in the materials passed to council.
Organizers said the project is intended as a community scrapbook of memories and photographs rather than a scholarly history volume. They asked the council to circulate the call for submissions. Councilmembers thanked the speakers and encouraged community participation.
