Pulaski receives two bids for waste disposal, refers review to mayor and staff

Council members discussed hauling distances and vehicle wear from trips to a more distant disposal site. Several members asked staff to provide more detailed cost breakdowns, including travel time and fuel impacts, and to return with analysis at the next work session. Mister Bridal made the motion to refer the bids to the mayor and staff for review; Mister Massey seconded and the council approved the referral by roll call. Staff said copies of the bid documents would be provided to council members ahead of the work session.
No contract award was made at the meeting; the council only directed staff to perform a comparative evaluation and report back.
