Worth County approves moisture remediation contract for several county buildings

Supervisors discussed whether the proposed approach should also be applied to planned new construction; staff said the new records/office building will have insulation under the slab and interior climate control and likely will not require immediate treatment. The board approved the remediation contract and a funding split: roughly $39,000 from a specific account (referred to on the record) and the remainder from county capital funds. The motion carried by voice vote.
Contractor and staff will coordinate scheduling and access; staff said they will notify department heads prior to work starting.
