Chris Longmore, the applicant—s representative, asked the Saint Mary—s Family Planning Commission on Oct. 27 to postpone indefinitely the public hearing on case CSP25-0283, citing sewer-capacity concerns that surfaced in the last week to 10 days. "On behalf of the applicant in this case, they are requesting a continuance of this matter," Longmore said at the start of his remarks.
Longmore told the commission the applicant is working with county staff and state agencies to address those capacity questions and will contact the county to request a new hearing date once the issues are resolved. The commission accepted the request and did not conduct public testimony or administer oaths for speakers because the hearing was postponed.
County staff confirmed the procedural requirements for returning the case to a public hearing: the application must be re-advertised, the property re-posted, and certified and first-class mailings sent to notice recipients before the matter is heard again. The commission noted that because the postponement was to an unspecified future date, the applicant will need to repeat public-notice steps when it seeks a new hearing.
The postponement arose after concerns about local sewer capacity were raised; the applicant and staff said they want to resolve those technical issues before rescheduling. The transcript records that the applicant requested no specific continuance date and will refile when ready.
No formal vote on the substance of the project was taken at the meeting. The commission moved on to other business after confirming the postponement procedure and that no public comments would be taken on the case that evening.
