The Clay County Board of Commissioners approved reappointments and a first‑term appointment to the County Extension Committee during its Oct. 28 meeting.
Cecilia Amadou, University of Minnesota Extension regional director, told the board the nominees were Sam Amidi and Rick Hall (reappointments) and Alicia Holt (first‑term appointment as a Master Gardener representative). Amadou said the master gardeners nominate volunteers and that nominees are vetted by the program. Several commissioners asked that future first‑time appointments include a short written biography to assist the board in evaluating candidates.
Commissioner Ebinger moved to reappoint Seham (name in record varies) and Rick Hall to three‑year terms and to appoint Alicia Holt to her first three‑year term; Commissioner Kravanoff seconded and the motion carried by voice vote.
