After clarifying edits were suggested—adding clearer language to preserve members’ ability to ask staff questions without directing staff work and adding an explicit events/projects clause—the committee moved that the document be treated as a draft and that Curtis bring it forward to town leadership for review, with the condition that any final changes must not conflict with the submerged‑land lease or state mandates. The motion passed by voice vote.
Curtis said he and staff will check with the town attorney and state contacts as needed and will notify committee members about the path forward once leadership provides direction.
