Miss Otter, who presented the resolution, said the document "shows the anticipated collections, which are the property taxes from the county for the year 2026, and then it's to certify our tax levels to the county." She said the details are in the attachment and that the filing deadline is the reason for the emergency request.
Mister Hermerlein moved to send the item to the floor of council with the emergency designation; Mister Janek seconded. The motion passed by voice vote, 6-0. Committee members did not request further substantive changes during the meeting.
The resolution will appear on the next council agenda for final consideration and certification to the county auditor.
