ARB forwards Archer North Phase 2 site plan with recommendation to consider reorienting Buildings 12–14

The Albemarle County Architecture Review Board on Oct. 27, 2025, voted to remove SDP 2025-00122 (Archer North Phase 2 initial site plan) from the consent agenda and forward the application to the Site Review Committee with an added recommendation that the applicant consider reorienting Buildings 12, 13 and 14 to align parallel with the entrance corridor (EC Street).

The action followed a lengthy discussion about changes in the road alignment shown on the current application compared with the rezoning exhibits, potential visibility of building facades from Route 29, and the fact that an adjacent parcel (Parcel 46B51D) is not part of the present application and may remain with limited access or critical slopes.
