The applicant, speaking through a translator, said the restaurant will open serving breakfast daily from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and intends to add lunch and dinner after opening. "Yes. We're starting with breakfast. It's gonna be breakfast all the time, but, in the future, it's gonna be lunch and dinner," the applicant said through the translator.
The applicant described the menu as bakery-based and said staff have bakery experience from Venezuela, including arepas with a variety of fillings. A board member asked whether the traditional breakfast arepa would include an egg; the applicant replied, "Yes. Yes. You're gonna love it." The board also asked about permitting and kitchen equipment. The applicant said required permits are in place and that hood installation should take about two weeks before they can open.
After questions, a board member moved to approve the loan and another seconded. The board confirmed the loan terms as a 10-year term at 3.25% interest and approved the motion by voice vote.
