After an earlier miscommunication delayed the candidate—s appearance, the committee reconsidered item 1 (file 251028) and recommended confirmation of Captain Erwin Estacio to the Milwaukee Commission on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
Assistant Chief Craig Sarno introduced Captain Estacio to the committee, noting Estacio—s more than 27 years of service with the Milwaukee Police Department and recent assignment to the Sensitive Crimes Division. Captain Estacio said he has previously served in the sensitive-crimes unit in multiple ranks and emphasized a focus on victim resources and cross-jurisdictional coordination with advocates and partner agencies.
