At the Oct. 23 meeting the council opened a public hearing on a petition by Eversource to install approximately 7 feet of conduit in White Street between the Cambridge–Somerville line and White Street Place to provide electric service to a proposed 25‑unit residential building at 14 White Street Place.
Jackie Duffy, an Eversource representative, told the council the work is necessary to bring electric service to the new building. No members of the public spoke in opposition during the hearing. The council closed the hearing and approved the request without further discussion.
What’s next: Eversource and city permitting staff will coordinate construction timing and restoration work as required by municipal requirements.
