Commissioners discussed partitioning the suite by closing two doors near an original brick wall so the medical examiner could use a smaller footprint while the nonprofit Pecan Valley would improve and occupy the remaining space for community services. The court favored a modest remodel and directed staff to engage an architect for a schematic design and cost estimate prior to committing county capital funds.
