Hampton City Council unanimously approved a slate of appointments and reappointments to multiple boards and commissions.
The clerk read nominations including Gail Mooney to the Clean City Commission (term through Oct. 31, 2029); Val de Claiborne reappointment to the Hampton Economic Development Authority (term through Sept. 30, 2029); reappointment and new appointments to the Board of Zoning Appeals (Joy Kirch Kelling, Alicia Miller, Romeo Toro) with specified term expirations; Steven Hughes to the Wetlands Board (term through Dec. 30, 2030); Tiffany Knotts to the Grievance Board (filling an unexpired term); and moves and appointments within the Citizens Police Advisory Group (including Dr. Ray DeWitt as the Hampton University representative and several at‑large and nonprofit positions).
A council member moved approval of the appointments, a second was received, and a roll‑call vote recorded unanimous approval.
