William Tennant updates: homecoming, marching band event Oct. 18; MBIT announces fall dual-enrollment with Bucks County Community College

William Tennant High School reported a successful homecoming weekend: homecoming king and queen were announced at the Oct. 3 football game (winners: Lindsay Catone and Julio Matos); the school moved its homecoming dance into the larger lobby on Oct. 4 and attendance increased from about 600 to more than 800. Athletics updates included senior-night announcements and a boys-soccer record of 10-5-1 with an upcoming senior night on Oct. 15.
Sal DePaolo, president of the William Tennant Music Boosters Association, previewed the Centennial Marching Band’s 29th annual celebration set for Saturday, Oct. 18 (gates open 4 p.m., first performance at 5 p.m.). DePaolo presented complimentary tickets for the superintendent and board members and credited band director Nicholas Seifert and staff for their work with the program.
The Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT) announced a fall dual‑enrollment program in business with Bucks County Community College that will allow students to earn college credits while in high school, and MBIT outlined upcoming events including an open house (Nov. 20), an occupational advisory committee meeting (Oct. 30) and a planned Salon Extreme opening staffed by senior students. MBIT also reported a successful MBIT Alumni Association kickoff on Oct. 8 and growth in adult education programs.
