CPR training fees: Chief Roach asked the committee to approve an increase in fees charged to outside participants at the district CPR training center so the program can remain financially sustainable; the committee approved the proposed fee increases.
Legal services transfer: The committee approved transferring $75,000 from the reserve for contingencies to the school committee's legal services account to cover a projected shortfall in payments to outside counsel (Norris, Murray & Peloquin). Chief Roach said the shortfall results from work needed to address an initial backlog of matters.
Remote participation policy: The committee adopted a revised remote participation policy, referencing Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2025 and expanding remote participation rules for subcommittees and special sessions. Debate centered on whether remote participation reduces discussion quality for full-committee meetings; the policy passed with one no vote from Mister Collins.
