The Planning & Zoning Commission approved preliminary plat S8925, the Cloverdale at Hackberry resurvey, for a site at 1405 and 1431 Hackberry Lane. The plat consolidates unplatted land and an existing lot into a parcel of about 0.95 acres to allow four residential buildings totaling 54 bedrooms.
Al Cabiness, representing the petitioner, said the plan removes an interior lot line so four buildings can be arranged with three shared drive accesses off the alley to improve parking efficiency. Engineering staff said they worked with the engineer to negotiate right-of-way dedications and to align the street centerlines to improve the current odd intersection near the railroad crossing.
Commissioners approved the preliminary plat with engineering's recommended right-of-way coordination. The petitioner noted the site improvements will align intersections and eliminate awkward drive configurations.
