Rusty Prescott of the Sheriff's Office said the purchasing division received three proposals; two were responsive and West Ridge Development Group LLC was selected as the most responsive and responsible bidder with a proposal price of $285,000. An additional bidder was disqualified for failing to provide required subcontractor affidavits. The board voted to award the contract to West Ridge Development Group LLC.
Separately, John Pittman, director of Solid Waste, asked the board to approve a modification to the existing GEFA promissory note for the landfill Sale 5 project; the modification adjusts the completion date because contractor and weather-related delays pushed the final construction completion to March 2025. The board approved the GEFA loan modification.
Both items advanced capital projects for public safety and solid waste; staff indicated procurement and loan paperwork will be completed in follow-up and contract execution will proceed under normal procurement oversight.
