Board action included approval of the 2025-26 committee rosters required by the memorandum of understanding with the professional employees (WCEA), covering collaborative-conferencing teams, sick-leave bank review, special projects, curriculum, calendars and disciplinary hearing authority panels.
The board also approved additional field trips requested after the workshop: a multi-day FFA trip to Louisville for David Crockett, TAP program teacher travel to Gatlinburg, a Gray Elementary May trip to Charleston, and a David Crockett golf regional tournament entry. Board members noted some trips were approved after logistics were finalized.
On policy, the board moved Policy 4.7 (grading systems) to a first reading to add exam-exemption language; the item was introduced and placed on first reading for further consideration.
