The chief finance officer and transportation staff explained that the district's activity minibuses are scheduled as fleet vehicles; teams can request them on travel forms and the transportation department assigns buses based on availability. Drivers for activity buses have the required DOT physicals and training.
The board accepted the Kootenai Scribe donation from the tribe (annual contribution) by voice vote. Trustees directed staff to obtain quarterly financial reports from the Lakeland Education Foundation (LEF) and to send a thank-you card to the tribe. The board clarified that booster clubs and PTOs already are asked to provide annual financial statements and requested similar transparency from LEF when district funds are routed through that foundation.
