New Explore Siouxland executive director introduces himself to city council

"My name is Tyler Daugherty. I'm the executive director for Explore Sioux Land. Have been with the organization since, early September, and I'm very excited to be here," he said. Daugherty told council members he is originally from Dubuque, has worked in the industry for about 15 years and previously coached college athletics before moving into destination marketing.
Daugherty said Explore Siouxland focuses on leisure travel within a roughly 50‑mile market radius, using marketing and sales efforts to draw visitors and support downtown and regional businesses. He welcomed questions from the council and thanked them for the opportunity to introduce himself.
Council members welcomed Daugherty and thanked him for coming; no formal action or vote was associated with the introduction.
