Machesney Park trustees approve consent agenda, warrant and financial report

The Village of Machesney Park Board of Trustees approved routine business and several ordinance and resolution items during its October 2025 regular meeting.

The board approved the September meeting minutes (motion by Trustee Bailey, second by Trustee Bogie). Treasurer Deb Olm presented the treasurer's report showing total funds of $53,055,861.25 as of Sept. 29, 2025; the board voted to accept the report by roll call.

Trustee Aaron Wilson, representing the administration finance committee, moved to approve a warrant in the amount of $1,765,189.70; the motion passed via roll call. Later in the meeting the board took up an eight-item consent agenda presented by Village Administrator James Rickshire II. The consent agenda included final readings for Ordinances 28-25 (variance, 10714 North Second Street), 29-25 (variance, 4920 Marlin Drive), 31-25 (variance, 9911 Gregory Road), and 32-25 (amendments to door-to-door soliciting rules); a first reading of Ordinance 42-25 (procedures for passing ordinances); Resolution 65-R-25 (IMRF authorized agent appointment); Resolution 66-R-25 (first amendment to an economic incentive agreement with Jordan Property Management LLC); and Resolution 67-R-25 (driveway variance for 741 Brentwood Drive).

Trustee Jody Stromberg moved to approve the consent agenda, Trustee Bogie seconded, and the board approved the package by roll call (7-0).

Other procedural motions recorded during the meeting included the motion to adjourn (motion by Trustee Bailey, second by Trustee Bogie), which carried.
