County administrators provided a progress update on the proposed 2026 budget and announced a public hearing scheduled for Nov. 6. The administrator said a full presentation and time for public comment will be part of that hearing, and that the board is expected to take a motion on the budget during the hearing and then adopt a levy-resolution on Nov. 12.
Staff noted there are no major new proposals in the draft beyond the normal drivers — net new construction, prior-year sales tax, and continuing mandated services — and that earlier one-time funding sources (ARPA, shared-revenue transitions) have already been integrated in prior years. The administrator reminded supervisors that the proposed budget is available in the prior executive-committee agenda packet and offered to prepare departmental clarifications if supervisors submit questions in advance.
During the meeting one supervisor asked for budget views that pair department income with department expenses to better see how revenue sources align with departmental outlays; administrators said they would explore whether the software can produce that view.
