Staffers Andy and Jackie showed a sample site layout, noting efforts to standardize pages and menu ordering, add consistent contact information, and provide an option for the public to sign up for notifications. They said user training for staff is complete and additional training sessions for occasional users and for staff who enter resolutions and ordinances will follow. Any existing notification subscriptions will not automatically transfer to the new system; users must re-subscribe.
The presenters said video recordings will remain hosted separately and are not integrated into the agenda/minute software. The board asked questions about notification messaging and how the county could notify currently subscribed residents to re-subscribe; staff said they would explore available options within the new system.
The county plans a public press release Oct. 27 to announce the new site and portal.
