Trustees discussed procurement of a standby generator for village facilities and directed staff to obtain at least three bids and return with a recommendation. Two vendors — JRC and Airflow — had already provided estimates; trustees and staff said JRC had been particularly responsive during site visits. "They gave us two quotes, two size generators and what the installation was," Chief said, describing JRC as responsive.
Staff reported the county indicated willingness to assist with pouring a pad and fabricating an enclosure for the generator, potentially reducing installation costs. Trustee Benetti offered to share a vendor contact who performs Siemens work and could submit a competitive bid. Trustees asked staff to provide consistent specifications to bidders so quotes are comparable and to present a low bidder recommendation at the Nov. 4 meeting if quotes are available in time.
What’s next: Staff and selected trustees will solicit a third quote using the same spec set; if three quotes are not returned in time, trustees said they will proceed with the available responsive bids and document solicitation efforts for the Nov. 4 meeting.
