Gahanna holds public hearing on strategic plan; steering committee member urges adoption

Gahanna City Council opened a public hearing Oct. 20 on Resolution 46-2025, which would adopt the city'wide strategic plan and economic development strategy. The administration made no presentation and invited public comment; the item is scheduled for adoption at the Nov. 3 regular council meeting.
Maura O'Donnell, a member of the plan's steering committee, told council she participated in feedback sessions over the past year and said, "I saw the edits made to the plan were a direct result of those engagement sessions and conversations." She said residents and local businesses had their opinions reflected in the draft and expressed support for council adopting the plan.
Council closed the comment period for the item and moved the plan forward for consideration on the Nov. 3 agenda. No formal action adopting the plan occurred at the Oct. 20 meeting.
