Planning commission reports ongoing UDO work; landscaping language expected soon

Commissioners said an earlier attempt stalled but that current work is moving forward with staff support and input from commissioners working on the UDO.
Commissioners noted they consulted a representative from Fayetteville, which completed a UDO with internal staff, as a model. Commissioner Hamner, chair of the UDO effort, was absent; staff said Hamner is finalizing draft landscaping language and that the commission hopes to take that item up in November. No formal votes were taken on the UDO at this meeting.
