Early rollout metrics (since the Oct. 1 launch) showed: 52 applications submitted in the new portal; 188 total applications submitted to the development services office (including legacy submissions); approximately 154 permits issued from legacy and transition workflows; and a marked efficiency improvement on code compliance intake time (from roughly 45 minutes in the legacy system to under 10 minutes in the new workflow). Staff also reported the deployment of QLess to schedule customer appointments and a 5–10% daily increase in in‑person applicants using the portal resources.
Implementation challenges included applicant unfamiliarity with notarized electronic packages (some submissions were started but not completed) and the need for continued customer support and outreach. IT staff said Wi‑Fi equipment deployed in parks lasts about five to ten years and staff recommended the city plan to replace equipment within that window while monitoring recurring service subscriptions.
