Prescott Valley finance staff on Oct. 23 reported a first‑quarter net surplus of roughly $1.3 million for FY25‑26 and announced the launch of a public financial transparency portal.
Finance staff said the portal (linked from the town’s finance web page) provides drilldowns to the strategic plan, revenues and expenses, active projects in the five‑year CIP, and account‑level data once the FY25 audit is finalized. The portal includes an option for residents to submit comments to the finance department and a map view of capital projects.
Staff highlighted enterprise fund performance: combined water, wastewater and stormwater net results were approximately $2.75 million for the first quarter compared with a budgeted net result of $582,000. The town reported about $153 million invested in the Local Government Investment Pool and provided a debt service summary in the portal.
Council praised the finance team and encouraged residents to use the new portal to review budget and project details.
